Public Consultation on the ePrivacy Directive Review

The European Commission is looking for stakeholders' opinions on the Privacy Directive

The ongoing technological developments require the European privacy policies to constantly follow and adapt to new situations. This is also the case for the ePrivacy Directive which sets out rules on how providers of electronic communication services, such as telecoms companies and Internet Service Providers, should manage their subscribers' data.

For this reason, the ePrivacy Directive is currently under review in preparation of a new legislative proposal on ePrivacy. While a formal evaluation is conducted by the European Commission, they also call for input from stakeholders. All input on both the retrospective evaluation and the possible changes to the current ePrivacy Directive will be used to develop future legislation.

Do you want to make sure Europe's ePrivacy policies remain up to date with the latest developments? Contribute by letting the European Commission know your opinion!
