GoSwift, a Queue Management Service

GoSwift is an Estonian service that aims to create a more efficient way of queuing

GoSwift is an Estonian service that designs, deploys, and operates Queue Management Services to create a more efficient way of queuing. The service does this by handling electronic and virtual queues of vehicles and people at traffic bottlenecks, including border checkpoints, ports, and tourist attractions. This allows, for example, shorter waiting times at the border, minimises queues, and saves the Estonian road transportation companies approximately € 4 million a year.

GoSwift uses data regarding the border between Estonia, Finland, Russia and Lithuania, such as transportation data. This includes how many tourists are expected to go to a certain area, the amount of ports that are operational, and how many ferries are running and at what time.

GoSwift is one of the over 500 use cases published on the European Data Portal. If you are aware of another inspiring use case, share your experience and knowledge about different applications and websites using open data with the EDP via mail, Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn.
