The energy provider Enel launches two crowdsourcing campaigns

The crowdsourcing campaigns will gather innovative ideas for new smart city solutions based on open data.

The multinational energy provider Enel recently launched two crowdsourcing campaigns to gather ideas for new smart city solutions based on open data. The first campaign is New Smart City solutions enabled by Open Data challenge, which closes on 10 September 2020. During this challenge, participants will focus on ways to leverage open data to create or improve smart cities. The second campaign is ReShape: a global call for the Energy Transition Challenge, which closes on 30 September 2020. This challenge is focused on transforming innovation into future solutions for the global energy landscape.

In order to drive innovation and reshape the energy market, Enel will use the InnoCentive Open Innovation Marketplace network which consists of almost 500,000 expert problem-solvers, comprised of engineers, PhD students, CEOs, start-ups, scale-ups, scientists and business leaders around the world.
