Webinar about the re-use of Open Data in Italy

Data in general and Open Government Data in particular are regarded as the 'fuel' necessary to power the digital services that millions of citizens use daily. The report Creating Value Through Open Data published by the European Data Portal estimated that in the European Union alone Open Data can generate an economic return of EUR 325 billion over the 5-year period 2016-2020, creating 25.000 new jobs.

Based on these premises, an online seminar on the re-use of Open Data will be organised on 27 June in Italy. This webinar aims at deepening the understanding of the economic impact of Open Data. The foundation will be provided by the analysis results of Open Data Italy 200, the first systematic study on Italian companies that use Open Data in their activities. The webinar will also investigate use cases and types of re-use of Open Data published by the Lombardy Region and the City of Florence on their Open Data portals.

The webinar takes place on Tuesday, 27 June at 12:00pm. You can register for the webinar on the dedicated events section on the PA platform. More information about the webinar can be found on Dati.gov.it.
