Italy publishes guidelines for data catalogues

Guidelines published in April 2017

The Agency for Digital Italy has made the Guidelines for data catalogues available, a document addressed to all Italian public entities that publish data in open format through a dedicated catalogue. It provides operational assistance and information on nutrition, renovation and classification of data sets according to the national DCAT-AP_IT metadata standard.

The Guidelines for data catalogues were made available as part of the activities related to the further uptake of public information and are designed to facilitate the semantic interoperability of data and services, with the goal of making information access and exchange processes throughout public administrations and between public administrations and businesses and citizens more homogeneous.

The Guidelines provide information on the vocabularies to be used as well as a description of the main elements of the metadata. Would you like to know more about the guidelines? More information on the Guidelines for data catalogues and the national profile of the DCAT-AP metadata is available at dedicated portal dati.gov.it.
