Four new applications developed with Open Data in the city of Santander
Improving and creating new services for citizens
Four new smartphone applications are developed and available for download on the web http://datos.santander.es/applications/. The new applications are called 'Santander Cultural Agenda', 'Santander on the way', 'Businesses Santander' and 'Taxi Santander Pebble'.
One of the main objectives of the Open Data Portal of Santander is to encourage the business community and entrepreneurs to develop applications involving new business opportunities and making new and better services available for citizens. Since the launch of the public information platform, local developers have created a dozen applications mainly related to sustainable mobility, trade or cultural events.
