Discover the Smart City Week in Trento
And their data portal now harvested too
It is a busy week for the Open Data communities in Trento and the Trentino region in Italy. While the city of Trento welcomes experts and enthusiasts to discuss the developments on Smart Cities during the Trento Smart City Week, the regional Open Data Portal has become accessible at a European Level. This portal, Open Data Trentino, is one of the latest catalogues to be harvested by the European Data Portal. Together with the Open Data Portal of Südtirol, both of the autonomous provinces in the North of Italy are now present at the European Data Portal.
The addition of these two regional Open Data Portals falls together with the Trento Smart City event. During this event, taking place from 10 to 15 September, multiple meetings are organised around Smart City solutions, developments and studies in Trento. These events, spread around the city, will discuss Smart City actions from a number of perspectives such as the role of Open Data. Parallel to the Trento Smart City event, the University of Trento hosts the IEEE International Smart Cities Conference (ISC2). During this conference, themed "Improving the citizens quality of life", academics come together and discuss the advances in research on this topic.
