Second webinar of the European Data portal now online

You could not make it to the webinar "How can Open Data improve Transport & Mobility?" but don't want to miss out on what was discussed? Watch the recorded video! On 8 February, the European Data Portal team organised a webinar on the use of Open Data in the Transport & Mobility domain. This webinar is the second in a series of webinars, after the introduction of the European Data Portal and the concept of Open Data in the first webinar on 30 November 2016.

After a general introduction of Open Data and some findings of the recent re-use report, two companies were invited to share their story. OpenMove presented how they transform Open Data into digital transport tickets, and GoOV presented how they use Open Data to provide disabled travellers with dynamic travel guidance. Both also touched upon the benefits they see in using Open Data and the challenges they face. The full webinar can be seen in the video shown below.

This webinar is part of a series of webinars through which the European Data Portal will explore Open Data. During these webinars, the team will go in-depth on the re-use of Open Data in particular sectors to discuss the challenges and benefits of working with Open Data.
