Italy makes list of key databases available

List available for consultation

Thanks to a joint effort of l'Agenzia per l'Italia Digitale and the Team per la Trasformazione Digitale, Italy has made a list of key databases available that are already freely accessible or will be opened in the near future. This list is now available for consultation online, and is one of the actions outlined in the three-year plan initiated by the Italian government towards promoting Open Data and information technology in public administrations.

The document seeks to identify for 2017 a list of key databases and/or datasets of particular interest to the community. This will contribute to describing phenomena in a standardised way at a national level. To ensure that these databases can be re-used, the databases will follow a specific quality path, which will be coordinated by different local and central administrations with the help of the national Data & Analytics Framework.

Based on previous discussions, five high value data domains have already been identified: Transportation; Education, Culture and Sport; Economy and Finance; Justice, Law and the Public Security System; Regions and Cities.

Would you like to contribute to the identification of high value databases or would you like to know more about this initiative? Read the news item or consult the list (see also the version on GitHub).
