With the rise of new technologies many employees need to upgrade their digital skills. That especially counts for Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), who compose 95% of the European economy. Many SMEs and start-ups provide or use digital solutions that require specialised skills. To strategize measures for skill development and support countries in the implementation, insights about the level of skills regarding new technologies is needed.
