Barcelona fosters Open Data usage in schools
Barcelona Dades Obertes Challenge is a pilot project launched by Barcelona's city council to promote, by means of a contest, the use of the open data published in the Open Data Platform BCN. The project-based learning initiative aims at students from the city's schools in the 3rd and 4th grades. The contest includes teacher training and a final public presentation of the projects. This pilot positions Barcelona as a pioneering city in the introduction of Open Data knowledge in the field of education. Today is the deadline for the finalists to deliver their proposals.
