Save the date: Open Data Day 2020

You are invited again! Join us in celebrating Open Data Day 2020 on Saturday 7 March

Save the date and celebrate Open Data Day 2020 with us on Saturday 7 March 2020. Open Data Day is an international annual event for data enthusiasts to connect and build solutions to complex social issues together with the community by using open data. 2020 marks the 10th anniversary of Open Data Day and the Open Knowledge Foundation will continue with its mini-grant scheme to support the event across the world. Over the last decade, Open Data Day has evolved from a small group of people in a few cities across the world trying to persuade their governments about the value of open data, to a community of practitioners and activists that are putting data to use for their communities globally.

Like last year, there will be a map to show where Open Data Day 2020 events are around the world. If you have already started planning your Open Data Day event for 2020, the new form to submit ideas and plans to celebrate the day will be available shortly to populate the map. If you want to connect with others and spread the word about Open Data Day, use the hashtags #OpenDataDay or #ODD2020. Alternatively, join the Google Group to ask for advice or share tips.

For more open data events visit the European Data Portal's calendar and follow the EDP on Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn to stay up to date.
