An 'Open' holiday season
With the holidays around the corner, the European Data Portal team would like to thank everybody for this amazing year. During the year, the portal has witnessed an impressive growth in a diverse number of fields. The number of Open Data sets has exceeded half a million; metadata is now translated into 18 languages. In the same year, over a 100 use cases have been collected and 200 news items published, both showing that the re-use of Open Data is growing and more and more people are becoming active in this field. With the Open Data Maturity Dashboard and Events Calendar, these developments are monitored and shared to further catalyse the Open Data movement. This could not have been done however without the support of the Open Data community. The European Data Portal therefore would like to thank all the Open Data enthusiasts, supporters and experts and wishes everybody happy holidays!
