Open Data to improve preventive medicine in neonatology

Predictive algorithms to identify potential health issues

A team of researchers at ISCTE- University Institute of Lisbon in Portugal is developing a new PhD programme at the Science and Information Technology department. The focus lies on multimodal data collection and advanced processing. The project aims at collecting and processing data to improve preventive medicine in neonatology. The team's goal is to develop an IT system using predictive algorithms to monitor babies' growth and development to identify potential health issues and to propose corrective measures.

The team is calling for institutions to collaborate and share datasets to allow the system to learn and to test the predictive algorithms. Get in contact with the team for more information or browse the 7,355 datasets related to health on the European Data Portal.
