Open Belgium debates Open data initiatives in 2018

The European Data Portal was taking part at the #OpenBelgium conference on 12 March 2018 in Louvain-la-Neuve.

Open Belgium is an initiative to make Belgian knowledge open, usable, used, useful. The annual event gathers industry, research, government, and citizen stakeholders to look and the state of Open Data and gain insights on focus topics like linked chatbots or different industries such as biotech, tourisms, manufacturing, architecture, etc. It is a one-day community driven conference with talks, discussions, panels, workshops and showcasing best practices. Heleen Vollers, researcher at the European Data portal presented the EDP and Open Data use cases across Europe. She was in good company among the other guest speakers from Figshare, Rockestate, Tenforce, Open Data Soft, etc. To find out more about Open Data in Belgium visit the national Belgian Open Data portal or read the latest blog post on best practices in open data across Europe with a special focus on Belgium by Heleen Vollers.
