Poland speeds up governmental Open Data project

Educating public servants and preparing for major extensions

The Polish Ministry of Digital Affairs is in the process of implementing its programme "Open data - access, standards and education". The project will generate solutions that increase the availability and quality of Open Data and its re-use. This entails extended APIs and the expansion of the national Open Data portal. With this, further efforts are being made to facilitate the search, analysis and use of Open Data in Poland. A couple of activities are currently carried out by the Polish Government in this regard: preparatory work for the extension of the national Open Data portal, development of Open Data standards, initiation of the first educational trainings on the legal and technical aspects of (sharing) Open Data, and the API extension with additional databases. The Ministry also announced a new partner for boosting the visual branding of the project.
