Discover the Polish Ministry of Digital Affairs guidelines to prepare and share data for re-use

The Polish Ministry of Digital Affairs published their Open Data standards to ensure that higher quality of data is being provided by the public administration. Public Open Data standards for the administration were developed as part of the project "Open Data - access, standard, education", which aims to properly prepare and share data for re-use. This includes guidelines on:

  1. Application Programming Interface (API) Standard that defines minimum recommendations to public authorities regarding the API for the access to databases that store public data.
  2. Security Standard, aimed at ensuring a relevant degree of security in processes of data opening by the public administration.
  3. Technical Standard that specifies technical requirements for public data, including requirements for the five Open Data levels and data formats. This standard also covers requirements for formatting specific data types such as an address or date.
  4. Legal Standard that allows universal and free access to, and the re-use of, data. The document presents legal issues that are essential for making decisions about sharing data in an open manner, including licensing and copyright protection issues.
