In February, the European Commission (EC) launched a public online consultation to gather views on its European strategy for data. The aim of the European strategy for data is to create a genuine single market for data where personal as well as non-personal data, including sensitive business data, are secure. Thus, businesses, innovators and public authorities will have easy access to an almost infinite amount of high-quality data, boosting growth and creating value, whilst minimising the human environmental footprint.
This consultation will close on 31 May 2020. The results of this survey will contribute to possible future Commission initiatives on access to and re-use of data. Access the public online consultation “here”.
