Hack for Sweden

The third edition will take place from 12 - 13 March 2016

Since 2014, Sweden is organising the Hack for Sweden competition. This year, the third edition is planned by a partnership of 23 different government departments and organisations. It provides a platform for Open Data that can be used by participating students, developers, data journalists, innovators and government agencies to develop new products and services. So far, 24 teams are enlisted to participate in this Hackathon.

The best team wins the Hack for Sweden Award. The jury is specifically looking for creative combinations of data. The team with the best and most innovative application or service that demonstrates the benefits of using Open Government Data wins. The prices are divided into 4 categories: best visualisation, best business value, most beneficial for society and pricing of the product or service.

The Hack for Sweden weekend is planned from 12 - 13 March 2016. The event will be held on the premises of the Environmental Protection Agency in Stockholm.
