Call for review on DCAT Application Profile for data portals in Europe (DCAT-AP)

Share your ideas and comments by 26 October

The DCAT Application Profile for data portals in Europe (DCAT-AP) was developed in the context of the Interoperability Solutions for European Public Administration (ISA) Programme and was released at the end of 2015. This Profile is a specification based on W3C's Data Catalogue vocabulary (DCAT) for describing public sector datasets in Europe. The DCAT-AP's basic use is to make public sector data better searchable across borders and sectors by exchanging descriptions of data sets among data portals.

There has been a recent update to the DCAT-AP. This updated version implements several minor change requests to the DCAT-AP version 1.1, which were submitted to the ISA2 Programme of the European Commission in line with the Change and Release Management Policy for DCAT-AP.

The updated version is now available for public review until 26 October 2018. The European Commission invites you to read the draft version of the release and to share your ideas and comments on the changes. All the comments will be evaluated, and the final version of the new minor release DCAT-AP (version 1.2) will be published in November 2018.
