New EU public procurement data portal

Opentender.eu embodies the vision of transparent and integer governments

The value of Open Data proves itself in many different ways. Next to economic benefits and improving public sector performance, Open Data triggers social and political developments. This democratic pillar of Open Data is envisioned by a newly launched European public procurement data portal. The portal is one of the initiatives of the EU Horizon 2020 project DIGIWHIST (the Digital Whistleblower).

The portal, Opentender.eu, facilitates your search and analysis of procurement data. Procurement records from 2009-2017 are provided for each of the project's 35 data jurisdictions (the 28 EU Member States, the EU Institutions, Norway, Iceland, Switzerland, Serbia, Georgia and Armenia). Every country or entity is visualised with multiple dashboards. The aggregation of data and the structured way of presenting the content helps users to explore public procurements and look after governmental transparency and integrity.
