Over 160 datasets available in data.gov.lv

There are now over 160 different datasets published on the Latvian open data portal, free of charge

The Latvian open data portal was launched in 2017 and provides users with free access to various government data from Latvian state institutions and other organisations with state functions. Users can browse through datasets by keywords, institutions or categories such as Education & Sport, Health, Environment and Transportation. In addition, the portal is based on open source technologies, including CKAN Open data catalogue.

By the end of 2018, the Latvian open data portal had over 160 different datasets available to the public. One set of new open data is geospatial data, with datasets from institutions such as the State Land Service (SLS) and the Latvian Geospatial Information Agency (LGIA). Information already available on the portal is data such as a topographic map of the whole of Latvia and a digital terrain model with a regular network grid.
