How Poland fosters Open Data implementation

Newly published implementation report

Among other countries, Poland demonstrated rapid growth of Open Data availability in 2017. Currently, the European Data Portal incorporates almost 5000 datasets from Poland, partially stemming from the renewed National Open Data Portal of Poland.

The successful increase of datasets may be explained by the initiated implementation monitoring process. Every year, Open Data officers are obliged to evaluate the implementation process and present the realised undertakings in the area of Open Data. Based on this information, the Ministry of Digital Affairs draws up a final implementation report that is approved by a ministerial task force, before sending it to Council of Ministers and making it available for the general public.
